The resort of Pattaya does not have its own airport. But there is the Utapao Airport, which is actually a military airport and is often referred to as Pattaya Airport.
It is located about 30 km south of Pattaya, and you can drive from there in about 45 minutes by minibus or taxi to Pattaya.
Bangkok Airways offers daily flights between Utapao and Koh Samui (2), Phuket (1) and Trat (1).
Air Asia flies from Utapao meanwhile to and from Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Phuket and Hat Yai.
There are also international connections to Nanchang (Air Asia) and Sanya (Hainan Airways).
Since October 2017, there are also flights with Nok Air to six different cities in China.
Qatar Airport connects Pattaya Airport to Europe
Since January 28, Qatar Airways has been flying four times a week from Doha to Pattaya Airport, linking the resort directly to Europe and the rest of the western world.
Due to the many new flights, the passenger volume is expected to double to 2 million passengers in 2018. In 2017 there were 1 million and in the previous year about 700,000.
However, there are no flights between Bangkok and Pattaya.
